There are many different types of waterskiing some are easy and some are hard. There are three main types they are ski jump, two ski, and slalom water skiing. The easiest one is two skis. Two skis consist of getting pulled behind a boat with no jumps. Slalom and ski jump are both hard. Slalom you need to have good balance because you are only on one water ski. Ski jump you also need good balance to land the jump. These all take time to learn so try to start soon with an experienced water skier.
How to Water Ski
The first thing you need to do is to find a pair of skis that fit your body well. Then you should get into the water and keep the rope in between the two skis. After that you need to keep your knees close to your chest and lean back. Then you wait for the boat to pull you and you stand up. This sounds easy but it will take you a couple tries. When you are up you want to bend your knees and have your weight back. Also you want to make sure that you have good upper body posture. To turn on the skis you just put more weight on one ski than the other. Soon as this gets easy you should try to salmon ski.
